I worked many years with Mel and his brother Bill at NASA. He was a very blessed and giving person. I can remember talking about the blind cow that would walk the farm but always ended up in the pond. H was a good friend and co-worker and Will be missed by all.

I worked with Mel as a fellow firefighter at the NASA LeRc Fire Department.
Mel was a great friend and a class act.
Mel was a kind and gracious man who never had a harsh word to say about anyone.
Mel was a fireman's fireman, a true professional.
Mel and his wife kindly hosted a wonderful NASA Fire Department picnic on their farm.
Mel you will be missed.
Thank you for your service to our country, the NASA LeRc Fire Department and certainly your township.
Job well done, rest in peace.
My prayers and sympathy to the entire Ternes family.

Respectfully,
Gary Schuld
