Mendy Branks

HENDERSONVILLE – In cherished memory of Melinda "Mendy" Branks, a soul whose devotion and selflessness touched the lives of many. At the age of 67, she peacefully transitioned to the embrace of the Lord on January 18, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, surrounded by her loving family.
Mendy, a resident of Hendersonville, was a dedicated office manager at R&D Plastics. It was here where she met the love of her life, Gary Branks.
Mendy was the daughter of the late James and Doris Owens, sister to Jan Allen and Jimmy Owens, and mother to Criston Gaddy, Stacey Brackett, Tracey Bagwell, and Dustin Bagwell.
She was the loving grandmother of Tyler, Kaitlin, Brice, Gracie, Callie, Colby, Cameron, and Kenli and cherished great-grandmother to Paisley, Oliver, Carson, and one on the way.
Known for her boundless devotion, selflessness, and a special fondness for crafts and trinkets, Mendy's legacy will forever resonate in the hearts she touched.
A graveside service to honor her remarkable life will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Shepherd Memorial Park, with Reverend Thomas Glenn officiating at 2 PM. Mendy's profound presence, love, and unwavering dedication to others will be deeply missed. Gratitude fills our hearts for the precious time we shared with her.
