Obituary of Meral Leslie Preece
Meral "Les" Preece 77 of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Sunday June 9, 2024 at his home following a brief illness.
Les was born June 12, 1946 at Inez, Kentucky, the son of the late Bradley and Arcona Cline Preece. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Linda Fitch.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Les Preece, there truly is nothing that can be said on paper to express te kind of man that Les was. He often referred to himself as "Super Man" and through and through he genuinely was! It just doesn't feel right using the word "was" quite yet. Les is and always will be bigger than life!! He is the life of the party. He is the salt of the earth that we all need in our life. He is a avid golfer, who enjoys golfing with his long time friends, Joe, Bartman, LC and Zeth. We will all endeavor to be even half as good of a man as him and will always remember him. We love you Les.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Jenkins Preece; sons Jimmy Hensley, Russell Hensley, and Paul Hensley; a nephew Jason Fitch; and a niece Christine Fitch.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
Care for Les and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
