Mercedes Quintero Niño, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, niece and friend passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 9, 2023.
She was born in Fort Wayne to Rigoberto and Maria (Quintero) Niño on September 8, 1993.
Mercedes worked as a server and bartender.
She will fondly be remembered as the family's photographer and videographer. Wherever Mercedes was a cloud of joy always followed. She was everyone's hypeman and biggest supporter. In her free time she loved to dance and listen to music, but most of all, she loved her family above all else.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing her parents, Rigo and Maria; son, Dominic Isaiah Olden; siblings, Gabe and Erica; Abuelitos, David and Eugenia (Eva) Niño; and Tio German and Tia Alma Niño, Tio Jorge and Tia Luz Maria Niño, Tio Gumesdino and Tia Melissa Niño, Tia Yolanda Niño, Tia Angelica Llamas, Tio Pedro Alejo and Tia Esperanza Alejo, Tia Consuelo Martinez, Tio George Gallegos Sr. and Tia Guadelupe Gallegos deceased, Tio Juan Antonio Gonzalez, Tio Isidro & Tia Maria Esther Flores, Tio Francisco & Tia Vera Gonzalez and an abundant amount of cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Rigo Niño.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour before the service. Calling will also be on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with a rosary at 5 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.
