Meredith Ann Weiss, age 46, beloved wife of Chris Weiss, beloved mother of Christopher and Addison passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Corwell Hospital, in Troy. Meredith was born August 25, 1978, at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, the first-born daughter of Mike and Ann Brennan. Meredith married Christopher John Weiss on January 7, 2005, on Saint John's Island. They spent the next 19 years creating an amazing life together with their two children, Christopher and Addison Weiss.
Meredith graduated from Divine Child high school in Dearborn, Michigan in June of 1996. She continued her education at Madonna University earning a Bachelor of Science in early childhood development. Meredith went on to teach preschool at Romeo Community schools, touching many students' lives with her caring and loving nature. She continued her path in education by attaining an additional teaching certificate in special education in 2021. Her career led her to Utica schools where she became a teacher in special education. Meredith's kind, compassionate, patient, and happy demeanor has had an impact on many students' lives.
Meredith is an amazing mother who loved watching her son, Christopher, play hockey and attending her daughter Addison's soccer events. She loved her family deeply, making sure everyone was always taken care of. She enjoyed family gatherings and vacations. Her other interests included cooking, home décor and reading.
Meredith is survived by her Husband: Chris and Son: Christopher and Daughter: Addison. Father, Mother and Mother-in-Law; Mike and Ann Brennan and Ilse Weiss. Sister and Sister in- Laws: Megan (Jeff) Sust, Doris (Scott) Stromer and Carol (Mark) Gallagher. Nieces: Kennedy and Cameron Gilmore, Taylor Sust, and Makenna Gallagher, and Nephews: Adam Sust, Ryan, Matt (Jessie), and Justin Stromer. Great Nephew: Odin Stromer and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 23, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home 54880 Van Dyke Ave.Shelby Township, MI, 48316. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home 54880 Van Dyke Ave.Shelby Township, MI, 48316.
