MeriAnn Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Olpin Family Mortuary on Oct. 2, 2023.
MeriAnn Christensen Davis of Orem Utah, passed away on September 27, 2023, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. MeriAnn was born February 15, 1962, in Provo Utah, the second daughter of E. Dean and Helen Christensen. MeriAnn was the youngest of seven siblings – Bruce, Joy (Jons), Robert, Gary, Carl, and Mark. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1980 and received her R.N. Degree from Ricks College in 1982. On September 9, 1983, she married Gregory J. Davis in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their first home in Stanfield, Oregon.
Over the years, MeriAnn worked at hospitals in Oregon and Utah (Med/Surg, NBICU, Cardiac Rehab, and in the OR which was her favorite). She also worked as a School Nurse for Utah County. She retired in 2011 from IHC and continued applying her talents crafting, jewelry making, glass beads, quilting, and about anything that she set her mind to.
MeriAnn was the proud mother of two children, her daughter Kristen Mary (American Fork, UT) and son Jack Mitchell (Orem, UT). She was a talented seamstress and took great pleasure in making many of their clothes. She attended innumerable school plays, dance recitals, T-Ball games, and other activities to show her love and support. MeriAnn loved to shop and could not resist a sale! She held various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is now enjoying a wonderful reunion with family and friends on the other side of the veil, free from pain and suffering. She endured it well and will always be "one tough chick" to her family.
We love you MeriAnn! Looking forward to a glorious reunion!
MeriAnn was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers (Bobby and Gary). Funeral Services will be held Friday October 6th, 2023, at the Timpview 2nd Ward chapel – 865 W 1000 N Orem, Utah 84057 at 11:00am. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00am – 10:45am. Internment will take place at the Lindon Cemetery – 600 North 200 East, Lindon, Utah 84042.
