Merle Albert Eastman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Merle Albert Eastman, who departed this life on November 20, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on May 31, 1959, in Claremont, New Hampshire, Merle brought warmth and kindness to everyone he encountered throughout his life's journey.

Merle dedicated over thirty years of service to Publix, where his hard work and commitment were recognized through multiple promotions, culminating in his role as the manager of the Publix liquor store. His career was marked not only by professional accomplishments but also by the friendships and camaraderie he fostered among colleagues and customers alike.

Outside of his professional life, Merle was a man of varied interests. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bowler, proudly achieving the perfect game of a 300 score. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, finding immense joy and fulfillment in being a loving husband, brother, and father figure.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur R. Fitch and Marie Eastman Fitch , as well as his father, Merle Eastman Sr., and dear sisters Marilyn, Michele, and Cheryl Anne.

His memory will be lovingly carried forward by his devoted wife, Glissett Eastman and child, Liam, who made him feel like a father for the first time, children, and his grandchildren along with multiple nieces and nephews; his sisters, Nancy Carroll (Larry May) and Twila McKinney (Gerald McKinney), and Ronne Knighten (Dennis Knighten).

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26th, from two to four in the afternoon, followed by a service at four o'clock, taking place at Roberts West Chapel. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of Merle's life, a testament to his enduring legacy of love and kindness.

In our hearts, Merle's gentle spirit and steadfast love will forever remain. May he rest in peace.
