Merry Lee "Anderson" Conaway

Merry Lee Conaway was born on April 3, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Betty (Peterson) Anderson. She was raised in Thor with her mom and stepfather, John Bosch and educated in Eagle Grove, celebrating the "Class of 1970".

On March 7, 1970, Merry was united in marriage with Bob Conaway at the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The couple enjoyed golfing, playing softball and spending time with the JBT Club. Bob preceded her in death on May 4, 2025.

Merry worked for B&E Construction, Eagle Grove Medical Clinic, Woodard Co., Electrolux and retired as Bill Long's legal secretary after 15 years.

Merry was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved playing cards, music, slot machines, her tomato garden, flowers, attending all of the kids events and spending time with her family. Everyone will miss her wonderful cooking!!

Merry passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the age of 73 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Orville Anderson and Betty and John Bosch; sister, Dianne Spangler; grandson, Jax Robert Frazier; brother-in-law, Don "Duke" Conaway, Jr.; sister-in-law, Marcia Conaway and in-laws, Don Sr. and Betty Conaway.

Merry is survived by her children; Christi Frazier (Jack) of Boone, Jenny Gano (Jeff) of Boone and Dan Conaway (Jen) of Eagle Grove; six grandchildren, Mollie Frazier, Kennedy Craun (Mike), Maggie Gano, Olivia Conaway, Jayda Frazier and Jace Conaway; great grandson, Easton Frazier Craun; sister, Kathy Rice (Dan); sisters-in-law, Bev Conaway and Cheri Conaway; brother-in-law, Bill Conaway (Linda) and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation is Sunday, August 31, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a Memorial service at 4:30 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family to help with Merry's extreme medical bills from her car accident.
