Mervin Miller Thomas Jr., 55, of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 12, 2025.
He was born on October 13, 1969 to Mervin and Jacqueline Thomas in Delaware, Ohio. He graduated with his high school diploma and went on to Tri-Rivers Career Center, where he studied mechanics.
Mervin married Cindy on October 13, 2017, Friday the 13th, and they shared years of happiness together.
He worked as a mechanic at BP for seventeen years, and in his spare time, he could often be found working on cars in his garage. Mervin loved his motorcycle and watching football; he was a Cleveland Browns fan and an Ohio State University fan.
Mervin is preceded in death by his parents Mervin Thomas and Jacqueline Bogen; sister Kathy Tangen; and stepmother Dorothy Thomas.
He is survived by his devoted wife Cindy; children Mervin Thomas Jr. and Megan Thomas; stepchildren Misty (Alex) Rickman and Cassidy Burns; grandchildren Ariel Rickman, Leland Thomas, Benjamin Rickman, and Lillian Andrick; friends Chris Saylor, Charlie Yager, Roger Hamilton, and Doug Hesson; and many other friends.
