Micah Lea Timms Maynard, born on November 23, 1946, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Micah lived her entire life in Lake City where she and her husband, Johnny, owned and operated J & M Trucking as well as the town’s grocery and auto parts store. In addition, she worked many years in the banking industry serving the citizens of Lake City. Micah’s life was a tapestry of kindness and strength that touched the lives of all those that had the privilege of knowing her.
Micah was preceded in death by her beloved Ma’ee, Jewell Timms, who raised her, husband, Johnny, favorite grand dog, Lilly, parents, her aunt Toon of Kansas, brothers, and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Maynard (Jerry Milligan) of Lake City, her brother, Kevin (Mandy) Turman, of Oklahoma City, aunt, Shirley Hall, of Jonesboro, along with several cousins.
In her memory, visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.at Emerson Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, starting at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jon Milligan officiating, followed by burial at Lower Cane Island Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Despain, Scott Despain, Mike Hook, Roger Steele, Jake Gilley, and Larry Ladd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NEA Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
