Michael Aiello, age 95, passed away October 8, 2016 in Glendale, CA after a long life of generous service. Michael was born on June 17, 1921, in New York City, NY to Ciro "George" Aiello and Anna Somma Aiello. He married Marjorie Ann Stanley in January of 1949. Michael grew up in Tujunga, CA, graduated from Verdugo Hills High school in 1940, entered the United States Merchant Marines in October 1942, and was honorably discharged at the end of World War II as an Assistant Engineer. Michael is survived by his three children, Thomas George (Laurie) Aiello of Simi Valley, CA, Theda Michelle Wilson of McKinleyville, CA, and Michael Stanley (Diane) Aiello of West Los Angeles, CA, his five grandchildren, Wayne Aiello Wilson and Dean Alan (Amanda) Wilson, Darren James (Amanda) Aiello, James Michael Wilson, and Alisha Marie (Hunter) Paletsas, and his twelve great-grandchildren, Kylie Alyssa, Patrick Lawrence, Cody James, Caleb Lawrence, and Eli Michael Wilson, Darren James Jr, Keith Peter, Michael John and Charlotte Natalie Aiello, Lucas Dean Wilson, Scarlett Reese Paletsas, and Madison Jeanne Aiello. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his son-in-law Lawrence Wayne Wilson, his brother and sister Vincent Aiello and Frances Jackson, and his parents George and Anna. A graveside service was held Thursday, Oct 13, 2016. The family would like to express their gratitude for all of the support provided by Michael's many friends, as well as the kindness and sympathy expressed by so many.
