Michael Ray Allen, 58, of St Petersburg, FL, passed away in his sleep Mon, Jan 6, 2025 at his residence.
He was born in St. Petersburg, Oct 1, 1966 to Maurice Ray and Mary (Curtis) Allen. When Mike was 6, he and his family moved to Thermopolis, WY. He graduated from High School there. Then, went to Torrington College in Wyoming, before returning to St Petersburg to live.
Mike loved family. And no one was immune to his unique sense of humor. Michael worked at Alpha Tile & Stone for over 20 years where he was known as the office prankster. His favorite holiday was Halloween, if that tells you anything.
He had a soft spot for animals, especially his 3 cats. Most always had an assortment of aquariums and fish. Mike had an unbelievable green thumb having a passion for orchids, amaryllis, mango and avocado trees, palm trees, almost anything tropical. Mike's other hobby was tormenting both his sisters which he did quite well.
Mike's mother, Mary, preceded him in death. He is survived by his father. Maurice, and "other mother", Lynn Allen of Thermopolis, WY, sisters, Laura (Mike) Puckett, of St Pete, FL and Lana (Bryan) Hodge, of Owasso, OK, special nephews Ben and Nick of Oklahoma and Uncle Tony Herndon of Nashville, TN.
Also survived by blended family, brothers and additional sister.
Jeff (Trisha) Seifert of Vancouver, WA, Todd Seifert of Surprise, AZ, Julie (Mike) Switzer of Corvallis, OR and their children.
No services planned at this time.

Michael was a good friend from my garden club, the Rare Plant Network. He was very courteous, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable regarding orchids and all exotic plants. We´ll miss you, Mike, and we release you with love. All is well and will be well.
