Michael Wayne Anderson "Mike" age 58 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at his home.
He was born on August 22, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Kenneth Anderson and Bessie (Collett) Anderson.
Mike leaves behind two daughters, Jennifer Rae Anderson Cordell and Alexis Cheyenne Anderson; brothers, Wendell Anderson and Tim Anderson; sisters, Judy Anderson, Donna King, and Sherry Stephens; a special cousin that he loved as a brother, Dave Young; and his American Legion Family.
Also surviving are Mike's grandchildren, whom was his pride and joy, Kadence Anderson, Raidan Cordell, Bryton Cordell, Adelynn Cordell, Everleigh Ball, Drayvan Ball, and Violet Ball; and a great-grandbaby girl, Lyla, on the way.
Mike was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a proud member of the American Legion Post 115 in Stearns. Prior to his health conditions, Mike loved to play softball, cornhole, and enjoyed working. He also enjoyed other sports and was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and the U.K. Wildcats. But above all things, Mike loved his family and caring for his cats, Snowball, Bunny, and Tiger.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Pine Knot Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the American Legion. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 12:00 noon until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be made to the Pine Knot Funeral Home to assist with remaining expenses.
