Michael Aschettino Obituary
Michael was born in Rochester NY, the only child of Catherine and Arthur Aschettino . He attended West High School, Boston University and Northeastern University studying Engineering and Business.
He had a successful career with Atlas Copco as District Manager for the New England area.
Mike loved Boston and the ocean. He sailed his 26 ft Islander to RI and Mystic Ct. enjoying time with his family and friends.
Important interests were supporting culture and the arts, especially the Kaji Aso Studio in Boston. He loved Opera, the Symphony and Classical music. Mike enjoyed working with wood, building Kayaks and beautiful tables, he was able to renovate homes, and help the elderly with needed repairs.
Upon his retirement to a beautiful estate in Eastham MA, Michael had time for another passion, Golf. He was employed by Captains Golf Course in Brewster MA for 20 yrs. enjoying good friends and trying to lower his score.
Michael was the most loving husband, always supportive of his wife Paula, 43 yrs. married, a true partner in every way.
Michael lost his first wife Katherine Goodwin Aschettino in 1977. They had 2 beautiful children, Catherine and Michael. He gained 2 beautiful step children Shawn and Shannon O'Neil after marrying Paula.
He is survived by his wife Paula in Eastham MA, daughter Catherine and husband Jeff Carchidi of Marlboro Ma, son Michael L Aschettino and wife Jackie of Marlboro MA., stepson Shawn O'Neil and wife Renee of Marlton NJ and stepdaughter Shannon O'Neil Shavor and husband Brian of Needham MA
He is survived by Grandchildren Michael J Aschettino, Jake Aschettino, Kenady O'Neil, Karlyle O'Neil, Rachel Shavor, Reagan Shavor and Reid Shavor .
Mike proudly has 4 Great Grand children Kelsey Aschettino, Leonardo Aschettino, Lindsey Aschettino and Isabella who graced us with her presence last week.
He will be missed and always remembered by many- God Bless this wonderful Renaissance Man.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held on Cape Cod this Sunday and Memorial & Celebration of Life at Marlboro Country Club on August 12th from 11:30am - 3:00pm where all are welcome to gather and share stories.
