Loving father of Virginia (Steven) Lerer; Beloved brother to Ginny (William) Castillo, Julie (Dennis) Kienzle, Edward (Margaret) Aul, and Kevin (Carla) Aul; Grandfather to Sam, Brianna, and Logan Lerer; He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Aul.
Michael was a proud member of the undefeated Duquesne University 1973 National Club Championship Football Team, a historic squad whose spirit and determination left a mark on the university's athletic legacy. His achievements on the field were recognized with his induction into the Duquesne University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004 - an honor he held with deep pride. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's honor to the .
All arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
