Michael Bata, 63, of Evanston, WY, and formerly of Langdon, ND, passed away December 9, 2024, in Evanston.
Michael Charles Bata was born April 14, 1961, to Charles and Patricia (Berger) Bata in Langdon, ND. He attended St. Alphonsus School through the 8th grade and graduated from Langdon High School. He went to Evanston, WY, and worked for several businesses. Later, he started and operated a trucking business until his health forced him to retire early.
Surviving Michael are his parents, Charles and Patricia (Berger) Bata; his siblings: Ruth (Chris) Zacher of Osage, MN, Daniel Bata of New Town, ND, Randy (Janelle) Bata of Langdon, ND, and Cheri (Charles) Griffin of Pratt, KS; along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph and Edna (Zettel) Berger and Joseph and Alice (Walsh) Bata both of Langdon ND.
Michael was also preceded in death by Susan Butterfield, of Evanston WY, with whom he shared a fostering relationship with her children and grandchildren as well.

Preceding Michael in death were Sabrina Butterfield Harman and Danny Butterfield.
A prayer service will be held for Michael at the Crandall Funeral Home, Evanston, WY, on December 18th at 7:00 pm. Services and burial will be held in Langdon, ND at a later date.
