Michael Don Bennett, 80, passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by his wife and family. Michael was born on November 30, 1944 to the late Robert Lee Bennett and Dorothy Katherine Bennett Brown.

Michael retired from the US Airforce after 23 years served where he was stationed at Lackland AFB TX, Lowry AFB CO., McChord AFB WA., Whellus AFB Libya, Keelser AFB MS., Connor AB NM, Danang AB Vietnam, Korat RT AFB, Mountain Home AFB ID., Lake Heath AFB England/Thailand, Luke AFB Al., and Hill AFB UT.

After his service he also worked for 7-Eleven as security manager and at H&R Block.

Michael is survived by his wife of 24 years Minerva (Minnie) Flores Bennett. His daughters melissa Cuevas (Benito) and Ida Caballero (Lee). Brother Terry Brown, sister Shirley Bennett and grandsons Michael and David Cuevas. Granddaughters Holly Elise Edmonds and Alicia Renee Caballero.

Michael attended Rotan High School and Midwestern State University with a BAAS Master of Arts-History where he graduated.

He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Cynthia Ellen Bennett and stepdaughter Colett Sance Edmonds.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6pm. Visitation will resume on August 14, 2025 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at 9am with a Funeral Mass to begin at 10am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Lee Caballero, Roger Cadengo, Abraham Flores, Abe Suarez, Joseph Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez Jr. and James Stafford.
