Michael James Bertolini was born on November 26, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 76.
Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for three years. Following his service, he worked for many years as a dedicated truck driver for Lipari Foods. For the past 30 years, Michael found great purpose and pride in his role as a guard at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy—a place that became deeply meaningful to him.
Michael was predeceased by his loving parents, Marion and Vincent, and his brother Joseph. He is survived by his beloved sister Barbara Taylor; his cherished niece and nephew, Jennifer and Ramon; and his great-nieces and nephews: Christian, Helena, Ramon Jr., Madelynn, and Kalli. He also leaves behind his great-nephew and niece, Jack and Vivian. His family loved him deeply, and his steady presence, warm heart, and quiet strength will be dearly missed.
Michael found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending time with family, watching game shows, and sports, especially cheering on his beloved Detroit Tigers. He valued tradition, loyalty, and the comfort of familiar faces at family gatherings.
A memorial burial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. In honor of Michael’s love for the Tigers and the joy baseball brought him, the family will gather for a Celebration of Life that afternoon at Comerica Park for a 1:00 PM Detroit Tigers game. All who knew and loved Michael are welcome to join us in remembering and celebrating a life well-lived.
