Michael Bettasso Obituary
Michael was born April 1, 1950, in Vancouver, Washington, the son of the late Michael Fredrick Bettasso Jr. and Dawn Bettasso. On August 16, 2014 he was united in marriage to Marsha Diana (Sanders) Bettasso, who survives.
He is also survived by eight children, Jennifer Bettasso, Michael Bettasso, April Bettasso, Kenny Bettasso, Luis Bettasso, George Bettasso, Dawn Bettasso, and Mathew Bettasso; two stepchildren, Lindsay Diann (Burkitt) (John) Ottens and Edward (Erik) Smith; five siblings, Danny Bettasso, Lynda Kelly, Robin (April) Bettasso, Dominic Bettasso, and Susie Bettasso; many loving grandchildren including Emma & Luke Ottens; and a brother-in-law, Douglas Norriss.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenny Bettasso; and a sister, Mariean Bettasso-Norris.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Navy on the USS Neosho (AO-23). He was also a Police Officer with the Waukegan, Illinois Police Department for thirty years. Michael loved to cook, was a very loving husband, father, & grandfather, and was a member of American Legion Post #142.
Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services.
