Michael Bost Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 9, 2026.
Michael Frederick Bost, 80, of Granbury, Texas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, passed away on Saturday morning, February 28, 2026, in Fort Worth.

Services for Michael (Mike) will be announced at a later date.

Mike was born on January 22, 1946, in Hillsboro, Illinois, to the late Arthur and Margaret Bost. He married Georgia "Gigi" Molski on October 17, 1970, and together they enjoyed three children, Timothy, Tina, and Candace.

Mike worked for United Parcel Service for 35 years, first as a driver for seven years, then as a District Engineer for the remainder, with transfers taking him to South Carolina, Illinois, and Southern California.

Mike had a genuinely sweet heart and a gift for making everyone around him feel special--no matter their station in life. He could fill a room with laughter as easily as he could fill a table with an incredible home-cooked meal. His love of cooking was matched only by his love of the people he fed. Whether he was casting a line in the waters of Alaska, taking trips with his family, or simply cracking open a cold Coors Light, Mike knew how to savor life's best moments. He will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the deep and lasting love he had for his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife, Gigi; children, Timothy and wife Courtney Bost, Tina and husband Michael Richer, and Candace Bost; his grandchildren: Christopher Fry, Daniel Fry, Sierra Sherbet, Rebecca Lawinger, Bailey Volk, and Jaelyn Oura; great-grandchildren, Tessa Lawinger and Nathaniel Fry; nieces, Kathy Graham and Michelle Lawinger; by his faithful four-legged walking and sleeping companion, Roper; and by two great clans of Johnson family members in Arizona and California.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Bell; most recently by his brothers-in-law Nick Bruns and Henry Larson; and BFF and cousin Bob Johnson and his beloved Janice of Tempe, Arizona.
