Obituary published on Legacy.com by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes – MacDonald Chapel - Howell on Apr. 1, 2025.
Michael Jacob Boucher, Jr. was born on May 9, 1984 to Katherine C (KC) and Mike Boucher, Sr. in Detroit, MI. He was their first born, their "KING" and was soon joined by "FAVORITE", his sister Kristen. The family moved to Brighton when Michael was in third grade and this is where he formed numerous lifelong friendships. These many and varied friendships were nurtured through his love of adventure and all things outdoors. As a child, he excelled at moto-cross racing, loved snowmobiling, hunting, boating, and especially spending time with his family and friends at Fife Lake.
Michael graduated from Brighton High School and attended Western Michigan University where he connected with the ying to his yang, Kristin Tini. Kristin and Michael married on October 15, 2011 and welcomed Ryder Michael in 2012. Beckett Anthony joined the family in 2015 and Isla Lynne completed their family in 2019.
Mike's greatest joy was his family. He loved all things outdoors and any and everything with his children: hunting, fishing, dirt biking, building bonfires, taking jeep rides, paddle boating, tubing or simply tossing footballs or shooting hoops. Mike loved attending the children's events, including hockey, football, lacrosse, and dance recitals. He was their number one fan.
Mike made every effort to create a home of their own, including planting a corn field, building a garden and chicken coop, and even planting a pumpkin patch. They worked together, heart to heart, hand in hand, to build a family and home that was everything that they had individually and together dreamed about.
Mike was a gifted artist and used his talents in his work at M&T Welding. He designed and fabricated structural steel, mechanical piping systems and custom stairways and handrails.
This was work that he loved and excelled at but best of all, it was a job that allowed him to spend each day with his best friend "Dude"
Mike is survived by his wife, Kristin (Tini) and their children Ryder Michael (12), Beckett Anthony (9) and Isla Lynne (5). He also leaves his parents, Mike & KC Boucher, sister Kristen (Lyrrad) Braceful (soon to be baby), and in-laws Ron & Lynne Tini to cherish his memory. Michael was dearly loved and will be missed by sister- and brother-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends - too many to name. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Patricia & Charles Haas, paternal grandparents, Ted & Evelyn Boucher, his uncle George Haas and his very beloved great aunt Catherine, lovingly known to Michael and all of his friends, simply as "Cat"
Michael passed away on March 29, 2025 after the most courageous battle with illness. During this time, he was the toughest - He is strong as steel forever.
