Michael Boucher

PLAINFIELD – Michael W. Boucher, 68, went home to the Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2026, after putting up a long, strong battle with his health.

Michael was born in Fall River, MA, on May 22, 1957, to the late Joseph "Henry" and Jacqueline (Joannes) Boucher.

After graduating high school, Michael went directly into the workforce. Throughout his career, he held several positions, including Project Manager at Reflex Manufacturing, Lighting Engineer at the former Lightolier, and Supervisor at the Norwich Bulletin Newspaper before retiring. Michael was deeply family-oriented, and with that always in his heart, he was an excellent provider-at times holding as many as two jobs to care for his loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Rita (Santos) Boucher; his daughter, Ashley, and her husband Todd; his son, Michael J., and his wife Audrey; and his three grandsons.

He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia Boucher Feijo and Robert Boucher. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Henri "Pete" Boucher (2011) and Rosemary E. Souza (2024).

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd., Plainfield, CT. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
