Michael “Mike” J. Brand, of Arcadia, MO, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the age of 61. The cherished son of John V. Garvels and the late Mary E. Brand; the devoted father of Jesse (Mitchell) Brand and Kristen Resch; loving grandfather of Caleb Resch; dear brother of Tim (Nancy) Brand and the late Paul Brand; treasured uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Mike spent much of his life outdoors, enjoying fishing, boating, and camping, especially on the river with his family. A former baseball and football player, Mike, also had a passion for hockey, collecting cards and following the sport throughout his life. Known for his friendly nature and kindness, he worked for General Motors for many years. Mike's warmth and spirit touched everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend or loved one.
Memorials may be made in Michael's name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
