Abbeville-Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday August 8, 2018 at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville honoring the life of Michael Wayne Broussard, 58, of Baton Rouge, who died Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Burial will be at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Abbeville.

Mike was a resident at Landsbury Home, managed by Restcare, Inc. in Baton Rouge, where he enjoyed participating in the daily activities at Brightside. Mike had an infectious smile that brought joy to all those around him. He brought happiness and incredible love into the lives of those who knew him.

Mike is survived by his parents Curtis and Gloria Luquette Broussard; his aunt, Trina L. Broussard, her children Randall Broussard and Tara B. Dulakabis and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Danaville and Wilma H. Luquette; his paternal grandparents, Vernest and Shirley L. Broussard; his uncle and godfather, Clyde D. Broussard; and godmother Eunice H. Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of services.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. The family expresses a heartfelt appreciation to the Entire staff and caregivers at Landsbury home in Baton Rouge for the excellent and loving care they provided for Mike.
