Michael Patrick Brown, Sr. (Mike), 59 of Ripplemead, Virginia passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024 from esophageal cancer. Mike was born October 17, 1964 in Lampertheim, Germany to the late Gray Henry Brown, Jr. and Lina Ann Kellerman Brown.
Mike was raised in Rich Creek, Virginia and attended Narrows High School. He worked as a Foreman for 25 years installing Stonehard Apoxy Flooring along the East Coast. Mike loved riding his Harley Davidson and participated in poker runs for the local Toys for Tots Christmas Drive each year. He enjoyed watching westerns and could tell you everything about them (and would). Kasey Kane is his Nascar Driver with Kiss and AC/DC playing in the background. His laughter and hilarious story-telling would have people doubled over, laughing out loud. (He should have been a comedian.) Mike was known for his kindness, generosity and unwavering support for his family and friends. He had no enemies.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Gray and Ann Brown.
Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his companion of 15 years, Angie Pennington; sons, Charles Brown, and Michael Brown; his children by heart and love, Alivia Pennington and Richard Pennington; step-sons, Alex Pennington and Chris Pennington; and step-daughter, Amber Wright (Daniel); 15 grandchildren; brother, Gray Brown III; sister, Patricia Bonham (James); and nephew, Jonathan Lusk.
The family will receive friends in a time of gathering on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Kendall Funeral Home. A guestbook is available to send condolences to the family by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Brown family.
