Michael Charles Brown, known affectionately as M.C. or sometimes "June," was born to the union of Michael Charles Brown Sr. and Carrie Mae Ellis. After Carrie married James Brooks, the family blossomed with twelve more children. His educational roots were planted in Coahoma and Jonestown, Mississippi, where he grew up and discovered his passions.

M.C. was a man of practical talents. He loved working on cars and was a skilled welder, always happiest with a tool in hand and a project underway. Beyond his work, he was known for his jovial spirit - always quick with a smile, a laugh, or a kind word. His lighthearted nature made him a joy to be around, and he carried that same joy into every family gathering.

Family was at the center of M.C.'s life. When he was able, he frequently traveled back to Mississippi, often bringing his sons along so they could spend time with their relatives and come to know the deep roots of their family heritage. These visits created cherished memories and strengthened the bonds across generations.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children Marilyn, Patricia, Michael, Keith, Richard, & Katonya. 34 grandchildren, & 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

M.C. was preceded in death by his father, Michael Charles Brown; his mother, Carrie Mae Brooks; and his stepfather, James Brooks. His son Danny also preceded him in death as well as his ex-wife Alberta they never remarried. His Siblings who also preceded him in death are Leroy Brown, James Brooks Jr., Mary Ann Brooks, Alma Johnson, Erma Jean Smith, Robert

"Goat" Brooks, and Matthew Brooks.

He is survived by his siblings: brothers Jessie Brooks (Yvonne) of Jonestown, Mississippi: Allen Brooks (Annette of Earle. Arkanses and Albert Brooks of Milwaukee. Wisconsinod sisters linda Brooks-Martin of Clarksdale, Mississippi; Maebelle Williams (Elijan) of Jo Mississippi; and Lucille Eldridge (Michael) of Chicago, Illinois. He also leaves bed his favorite aunt, Louise Ellis of Chicago, Illinois, and his favorite uncle, Robert Ellis of Lula, Mississippi.

M.C. always held a quiet hope of one day returning to Jonestown to live in the countryside where he was raised. Though he has departed from us, we know that he is at peace. We will miss you, our brother & Father, but God knew it was time to bring you home. Farewell, M.C., until we meet again.

His legacy will live on through the laughter he shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he poured into his family. To know him was to be blessed by his spirit, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
