Michael Thomas Brown

Michael Thomas Brown, age 78 of Baxter, passed away on December 24, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. He was born in Crosby on June 1, 1947 to John and Brynetta (Hendrickson) Brown. He was united in marriage with Florentina “Gina” Lastra on November 8, 1969.

Mike was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam war. He was a retired member of the Operating Engineers Local 49. Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mike is survived by his two sons, Lincoln Brown of Moose Lake and Bryan (Amber) Brown of San Diego, CA; his two daughters, Helen (Gilberto Davila) Brown of Boerne, TX and Susan Brown of Ft. Meyers, FL; five grandchildren, Coco Spartz, Bethany McIntosh, Isabelle Brown, Jackson Brown and Elijah Davila; and nine sisters, Karen, Cathy, Maryetta, Dianna, Cinde, Carmen, Bernadette,, Barbie and Sara.

Preceding Mike in death are his parents; his wife Gina; and two brothers, John and Joseph Brown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crosby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors presented by the Myrin-James American Legion #443 of Ironton. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
