Michael Cada, 78, passed away on October 27th at Young Home for the Elderly in Warren, MI, where he had lived since the passing of his mother in 2014.
Michael was born on October 22, 1947 in Detroit, MI to LaVerne and Elizabeth Cada. He was raised by his loving parents and maternal grandmother, Ethel Berry, along with his eight siblings. He attended schools for children with special needs. As a young adult Michael worked at Faygo and the DAC in Detroit, MI. Michael was a longtime member of St John Berchmans Church.
Michael enjoyed country music, doing puzzles, coloring, Star Wars, Star Trek, and trains, among other things.
Michael is survived by his eight siblings: Jim (Kathie), Mary (Rick), Eileen (Ron), Ann (Mark), Jerry, Judy (Al), Jeanne (Kevin), Joe and many nieces and nephews.
Michael spent the years after his mother passed at Young Home for the Elderly. He always told us how much he liked living there, and they always told us how much they loved having him there. He was, also, the favorite of every nurse that cared for him over the years. Michael had many friends at Young Home and could often be found sitting at the dining room table coloring. Michael died peacefully in his bed at Young Home, under the care of Hospice of Michigan, with family at his side.
