Michael Lynn Canter, born on October 11, 1959, in Mayfield, Kentucky, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Southgate, Michigan, at the age of 65.
Michael's journey through life was shaped by his work as a dedicated Delivery Driver within the automotive industry. His commitment to his profession was paralleled only by his passion for music. He found joy in all genres, often filling his days with melodies that spoke to him and brought comfort and inspiration.
A man of simple pleasures, Michael cherished moments spent watching television, with a particular fondness for cooking shows. This interest extended into his own kitchen, where he delighted in preparing meals for those he loved. His gentle and nurturing spirit was felt by all who knew him, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
In addition to his love for cooking and music, Michael had a deep appreciation for classic cars. He admired their beauty and craftsmanship, often attending car shows and engaging in lively discussions about their history and design.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carol, and his dear sister, Lisa Conley. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Henderson; brother, William Gregory Good; brother-in-law, Duane Conley; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Anthony, Homer Jason, Kaylee, Benjamin, Nicholas and Keira. Their memories of him will be treasured forever.
In accordance with Michael's wishes, cremation will take place at The Witness Crematory, located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
Michael's gentle soul and loving nature have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of kindness and warmth will continue to resonate with family and friends, who will hold him dearly in their hearts.
