Lunenburg – Michael A. E. Ciccone Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, following a brief illness.
Michael was a devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Michael served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961 as an Electrician's Mate Petty Officer Second Class and later worked as a licensed electrician at Dupont, then Digital Equipment Corporation. After he retired from Digital, Michael owned and operated Maple Pond Farms in Lunenburg, where he was a rock farmer and cared for rescue animals. Michael was a generous man with a big heart and a strong spirit. He loved to joke and laugh. He will be dearly missed.
Michael was born on August 15, 1939 in Leominster, Massachusetts, the second son of Michael A. E. Ciccone Sr. and Emma (Caffoni) Ciccone. He is survived by his children and their spouses Michael Ciccone III and Kathleen, Gary Ciccone and Dyan, Scott Ciccone and Kelly, stepdaughter Sara McFarland and James and son Grayson, and seven grandchildren - Christina, Michael IV, Luke, Niccolai, Piero, Marcella, and Rocco Ciccone; siblings Joan Smith Ciccone and June and Mark Ciccone, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by Matthew and Richard Ciccone, and Gail Ciccone Brown.
Michael's funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 14th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna Church, 194 Lancaster Street. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Leo Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, June 13th, from 5-7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, MA.
