Jacob Ciccone Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jacob Donald Ciccone, Sr. of Pittsburgh, PA. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, who died on September 10, 2025 at the age of 90.
Born on May 31, 1935, Jacob lived a life defined by love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community. A proud veteran, he served his country with honor in the Navy before embarking on a long and successful career as a mechanic for USAir. His warmth and vibrant personality drew people to him, and he was known for his social nature and popularity. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was the friendly competition of a card game or the quiet peace of a day spent fishing.
Jacob's greatest passion was his family. He was a dedicated husband to his first wife, Theresa, and later to his second wife, Pat. He was a source of endless love for his three children, Sharon, Jack Jr., and Randy. Above all, he adored his grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlynn, Leah, Steven, Noah, Abby and Christian. He was their biggest fan, a constant presence on the sidelines of every sporting event, always ready to cheer them on and lend a helping hand. His support and encouragement left a lasting impact on their lives.
Beyond his family, Jacob was a man who embodied the spirit of service. He was always the first to offer help to a neighbor or friend in need, a true testament to his generous and caring nature. His legacy is one of compassion and selflessness.
Jacob is survived by his children: Sharon Hogle, Jacob Ciccone Jr., and Randy Ciccone; his grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlynn, Leah, Steven, Noah, Abby, and Christian; and his great-grandchild, Cora. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private memorial service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Veteran's Place of Washington Blvd. (https://www.veteransplaceusa.org/) in his honor.
