Michael Thomas Collins

Michael Thomas Collins, born on July 25, 1964 in Neptune Township, NJ to Diana Collins of Freehold, NJ, passed away December 12, 2024 in Princeton, NJ.
Survivors include his sister Laurie (Paul) Hansen, a nephew PJ, and niece Allison, all of Liberty, Missouri; stepfather, Richard Oelsner, and stepbrother, Tony Oelsner, of Tampa, Florida.
He is predeceased by his mother, Diana in 1993, his grandfather William Collins in 1986, and grandmother Anna, in 1974.
A large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
Michael lived the majority of his life in Freehold where he worked a multitude of jobs, and in life, never met a stranger. He was sincerely kind, happy and always willing to help anyone in their time of need.
Michael served in the United States Army, spending time in Germany and other countries during the late 1980's.
Later in life he returned to his roots in New Jersey and worked whenever he was called upon and needed.
We will be having a celebration of life for Michael in April, 2025, at the American Legion in Freehold. I cannot wait and look forward to hear all of the 'Curly stories' each and everyone of you will have to share. I know there will be plenty of memories as we celebrate his life with one another.
His favorite phrase was "If God doesn't love you Curly does." which will be remembered always.
Rest in Peace big brother. You will be forever loved.
