Michael J. Copley Jr., age 63, passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2024. Michael was a beloved member of the many communities he touched throughout his life.
Michael was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Charity grade school and St. James High School and was a proud member of the Bulldogs Football and Ice Hockey teams.
A lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, Michael especially enjoyed attending Phillies spring training games with his family in Clearwater, Florida.
Michael was a skilled pianist, a gift inherited from his grandfather and honed through countless hours of lessons and practice. His love for music was a constant source of joy throughout his life.
Another of Michael's passions was weather watching. He particularly delighted in tracking winter storms, eagerly anticipating the arrival of snow.
Above all, Michael's greatest pride and joy were his three children: Katlin, Kyle, and Eli.
In recent years, Michael resided in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he was a dedicated employee of Bank of America. His commitment and hard work were deeply appreciated by his colleagues and friends at Bank of America.
In addition to his beloved children, Michael is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Adeline Copley, who were his constant support and inspiration. He also leaves behind three siblings: Lisa Bonavitacola (Peter), Lenora Macerato (late Paul), and Louis Copley (Christine). Michael's extended family, including his beloved aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as his dear lifelong friends, will all miss him dearly.
Michael's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Visitation: Monday, June 10th from 9:00AM -10:45AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.
Funeral Mass: Monday, June 10th at 11:00AM at the Church.

I remember Michael playing the piano during our family visits when he was young. His grandfather was in the background, watching him and bursting with pride.
