Michael Joseph Creighton, 65, of Bruceton TN, longtime resident of Mason, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 16, 2024.
Mike was born May 7, 1959 in Newport, RI, and was raised in Brookline and Milford, NH. He was a retired truck driver and heavy machinery operator. In his younger years Mike enjoyed raising cows and showing them in local fairs. This passion continued all throughout his life. Mike loved coaching and watching his children in various sports, (when he wasn’t kick off the field for his passion of the games.) He devoted hundreds of hours volunteering at the Mason NH fire department. He loved going on joy rides on his Harley Road King.
In his retirement Mike enjoyed working in his wood shop as a self taught woodworker. He made a lot of custom furniture such as adirondack chairs, swings, and toy chests. He used old school methods which was unique and received more and more orders from the locals and his church family as word got out of his craftsmanship. He loved his 2 dogs Harley and Charlie, taking them for ice cream often and watching Old Western’s with Charlie never far from his side. Since his move to Tennessee he became an active member of the Eastview Baptist Church where he made many friends and spent a lot of his time. (He even taught a sermon!)
Mike is survived by his mother Elaine Clark; his two sons Michael Creighton Jr., Heath Creighton (wife Jaclyn); his daughter Krista Creighton; his grandchildren Cayden, Khloe, Abel and Jackson; his brother Mark Creighton; his sister Chlo Creighton; and his girlfriend of 16 yrs Lisa Grennon. He is predeceased by brother Timothy Chapman.
