Obituary for Michael J. Davis (1955-2024)
Michael John Davis, age 69, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at home with loving family at his bedside. Born in Norristown, Michael was the son of the late Charles Davis and the late Helen (nee Tarhovicky) Davis, the beloved father of Michael J. (Martha) Davis, Jr. of Broomall and Heather Jobes of China Grove, NC, the proud grandfather of Kyle, Aidan, Jacob and Maximus, the cherished brother of Helen Koff of Pottstown, Thomas (Sherry) Davis of Swedeland, Kevin (Lori Powell) Davis of Swedeland and the late Charles Davis and the loving companion for over 16 years of Alice Bucha of Bridgeport.
Michael made his career as an independent trucker for quite a few companies, including Delaware Express, which became Quantix, until recently, due to his health. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church and an avid sports fan, especially the Phillies, Eagles and Notre Dame, as well as many other college basketball and football teams.
Relatives and friends are invited to The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405, 610-275-6385, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., www.gutkowskifuneralhome.com, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, where his family will greet guests from 9 a.m. until his Memorial Service begins at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
