Michael DiBianco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by West Haven Funeral Home - West Haven on Apr. 11, 2025.
Michael Donald DiBianco, lovingly known as Mike, entered into eternal rest on April 8, 2025.
Mike is survived by his sister, Maryellen DiBianco Launder, and his brother, Donald DiBianco. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews: Casey (Chris) Lennon, Danielle (Dave) DiMauro, Nicholas (Kelly) DiBianco, and DJ (Michaela) DiBianco. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Lori Halliday; his lifelong friend, Robert Lynn, and his cherished cat, Smokey.
Mike was a kind, intelligent, and deeply thoughtful man. He had a sharp wit and a generous heart. He loved the game of hockey, and more than anything, he loved his family and friends. His loyalty, humor, and quiet strength will be missed by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Mike held various jobs and was known for his love of chowder, Wendy's, Popeyes, and his enjoyment of diving into research.
He began his high school years at West Haven High School, where he played ice hockey as a goalkeeper for the Westies. In his senior year, he transferred to Hamden High School, proudly joining the Green Dragons hockey team for the 1973–1974 season. Mike graduated from Hamden High School in 1974.
Mike also played in the Bud Conlan Street Hockey League from 1973 to 1974. He was a skilled player and a member of Curley's All-Stars, coached by his father, Donald DiBianco. He later played for Catapano's hockey team, continuing his passion for the sport.
Mike will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for hockey, and his unwavering loyalty to those close to him. His spirit and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
At this time there will be no services.
