Michael DiMaio, 84 passed away in Media, PA, on December 23, 2024. Michael was the son of the late Anthony and Helen DiMaio of Philadelphia. He graduated from St. Thomas Moore High School. He was a member of St. Matthew Parish, Conshohocken, PA.
He loved movies, mainly classic westerns, crime films, and cold case documentaries. Music was another of his passions; at one point in his life, he worked as a part-time disc jockey and built an impressive collection of thousands of 45 records. A devout Catholic, He served in the US Army 1962-1963. Professionally, he dedicated 45 years to the automotive industry, serving as a service manager before retiring from Keyser and Miller Ford in 2005. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, which brought him the greatest joy. Michael was a religious, loyal, principled, kind, compassionate, family-centered, and honest man who exemplified these qualities in every aspect of his life. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Gail, as well as his children and grandchildren. He was a selfless father and grandfather who consistently prioritized his family above all else. His unwavering commitment to their happiness and well-being was a testament to his loving and generous spirit.
Beloved husband of the late Gail Patricia (nee Phillips) DiMaio, Loving father to Helen DiMaio-Corrado, Michael DiMaio, Nicholas DiMaio, Joseph DiMaio, and Jenna DiMaio-McCracken. Cherished Grandfather Matthew DiMaio, Laura DiMaio, Gabrielle DiMaio, Isabella DiMaio, David Arnott, Evan Arnott, Rebekah Arnott, Rachel Arnott, Lucas Arnott, Isla Rey Arnott, Emersen McCracken, Adeline McCracken, and Kian McCracken. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and more.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Tuesday December 31, 2024, at 9am and Mass at 10:30am at St Matthews Roman Catholic Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428, Interment is Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon PA
