Michael S. "Mike" Donahue

Michael S. "Mike" Donahue,58, of Ellenton, FL, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, after battling a rare autoimmune disease for the past 8 years. Mike was born on July 2, 1965.
He is survived by his 7 siblings, Greg of Erial, NJ; Carren (Ken) Abrams of Chesterbrook, PA; Debbie (Tom) Andreacci of Bradenton, FL, and Manchester, NJ; Leslee (Peter) Miller of Medford Lakes, NJ; Patrick (Michele) of Merritt Island, FL; Sean (Lorrie) of Mt. Laurel, NJ; his identical twin, Glenn of Ellenton, FL, and sister-in-law, Jan Babb Donahue of Tampa, FL. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Dolores (nee Shue); brother, Brad of Tampa, FL, and sister-in-law, Sue of Erial, NJ. Michael is also survived by 17 nephews and nieces which he fondly adored and loved spoiling.
Born in Cinnaminson, NJ, Michael's family moved to Oklahoma City, OK, Columbia, MD, and Potomac, MD. The family returned to Cinnaminson, NJ, in 1972. Michael attended Cinnaminson High School where he was Student Council President in 1984. He played basketball and soccer.
After attending Burlington County College, Michael became a bartender at Bennigans in Mt. Laurel, NJ. He then bartended for many years at The Coastline in Haddonfield, NJ, and when they sadly closed their doors, Michael bartended and managed at Top Dog and Vera's in Cherry Hill, NJ, before retiring and moving to FL.
Michael always brightened up a room, had a very dry sense of humor, was known as the 'Ultimate Bartender/Psychologist' and was always very generous and charitable, oftentimes organizing and/or participating in many worthwhile fundraisers. He was also a very hard worker and quite the entrepreneur which included many real estate investments. Mike dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed spending time in Long Beach Island, NJ, sailing or spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at a later date in NJ. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice in Michael's name.
