It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Allen Dorn, age 68, who peacefully passed away surrounded by his wife and friends on March 2, 2025, in Bonita Springs, Florida. Michael's upbeat spirit, unwavering strength, and devotion to his loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on August 17, 1956, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Clifford Dorn and Dorothy Dorn. Michael grew up with a strong sense of family and community. He lived in Maple Grove, Minnesota where he spent many years building both his personal and professional life.
Michael attended New Richland High School and furthered his education at Golden Valley Lutheran College. He went on to have a remarkable career, serving as the owner/operator of Dorn Financial Services for 40 years. As a Financial Advisor in Securities, Michael's expertise and commitment to his clients were evident in the trust he cultivated over the years. His work was not just a career but a calling, and he was known for his integrity, reliability, and care in every interaction.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara Ann Dorn; his daughter, Caitlin Mary Dorn; his son, Michael Allen Dorn, Jr.; and his sister, Marlene Klemp along with niece Mariah Klemp; his brother, Mark Dorn. Michael's family was the center of his world, and he cherished the time spent with them. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Michael's legacy is one of loyalty, honesty and hard work. He touched many lives, not only in his professional career but in the way he lived every day with a generous heart.
A private family service will be held in his honor. The service will be held in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
Rest in peace, Michael. You will forever be in our hearts.

Mike, you were always the center of FUN! There are too many memories boating on Tonka and anchored up at Big Island - we raised our families there. Extra special was the day after your wedding to Barb - 70 degrees and sunny! That was quite the weekend!
We had so much fun traveling to Jamaica with you, Barb, Ronda and Mark. The Siboney hillside villa with pool was perfect for us! You, Mark and I were in great form at the bar harassing the Fleischman look alike.
You´ve kept the MLT group together all these years. We´re going to miss you as the great connector. We love you Michael.

Mike, in the communities of New Richland and Otisco township, you were my neighbor, classmate, and friend. I remember the softball game with the area families. Celebrating our 50th class reunion with you is a memory I will never forget.
Rest in peace.

Mike, since the first day Catie brought me over to the house you (and barb and MJ) treated me like family. 8 years was not enough, but the special memories you created for all of us felt like 20 years. And I will always look back to those times we spent together with pure joy. Your value for family and friends will always inspire me. You will always be remembered Big Mike. Love you. -Alek
