Michael Eugene Dye, born on June 8, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to Gene and Judy Dye, passed away December 30, 2024.
Michael was a dedicated truck driver and a hard worker, known for his love of the open road and his unwavering commitment to his job. Beyond his profession, Michael loved going to the racetrack and spending time around animals, especially dogs and horses.
Michael was the person friends and family could rely on at any hour. His selflessness and generosity were evident his willingness to help others, always ready with a helping hand or a bit of extra cash for his nieces and nephews. His loud, boisterous laugh and big-hearted nature left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters, Chicky Taylor (Ron) and Brooke Fountain (Lewey), nieces, Hanna Taylor (Stephanie) and their daughter Charlie, London Fountain and one nephew, Shane Dye (Ashley). His kindness and selflessness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Robin Kelley, and nephew, Brandon Rombach
A private graveside service will take place at a later date to honor Michael's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Callaway County Humane Society, reflecting Michael's generous spirit and love of animals.
