Michael Dennis Fasig, 83, of Ashland, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 20, 1941 in Ashland, Ohio at the family home that his mother and father built from the ground up. The son of Roger and Evelyn (Wolf) Fasig. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1959 and then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served our country from 1960-1967.
Michael married the love of his life, Sherry Lynn Doerrer on November 27, 1960 in Ashland, Ohio. Mike was a Director of operations for various distribution centers for the majority of his career. He was a hard worker and a Jack of all Trades, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a proud member of the VFW, AM Vets, and the Ashland Elks Lodge # 1360. He loved golfing, fishing and traveling with his family. Mike was known for his Green Thumb and love to work out in his beautiful yard. Most of all he was a family man.
He is loved and will be missed by his daughters, Laurie (Michael) Scheidegger, Michelle (Michael) Ferguson, Julie Fasig; grandchildren, Michael (Marissa), Paul (Sabrina), Meghan (Colin), Taryn (Shaun), Sean (Melissa), Aidan, Kylee, Taylor; great grandchildren, Emily, Colin II, Madeline, Payton, Leica, Parker, Nora, Palmer, Lumen, Maeve, and baby boy, on the way; brother, Thomas (Beverly) Fasig; beloved cat, Flipsy, and dog Seneca.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and Jim, beloved wife, Sherry.
Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
