Morris Ray Fasig, 86, of Mulkeytown passed away at 3:40 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home.
Morris was born on February 11, 1939, in Christopher to the late Roscoe Raymond and Emma (Flatt) Fasig.
Morris married Irma (Smith) on November 24, 1960, in Benton on Thanksgiving Day. Morris was a very hard worker. He worked for Phelps Dodge as a forklift operator for 35 years and after working days at the factory, he could be found working at the local gas stations of the evenings. He also really loved mowing. Morris was an avid Cubs fan and was always cheering them on during the season.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Fasig; three children, Dennis Ray (Veronica) Fasig of Christopher, Kevin Joe Fasig of Cleburne, and Shawn Dale (Angela) Fasig of Hurst; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a favorite cousin, Shirley Holmes and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Emma Fasig; ten siblings, Russell Fasig, Ward Fasig, Billy Fasig, Finis Fasig, Beulah Berquez, Helen Smith, Juanita Pierce, Jewel Proctor, Betty Bowley and Joyce Ingersoll.
Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Cleburne Baptist Church with Pastor Kendall Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until funeral hour.
Vantrease-Pyle of Zeigler is entrusted with the arrangements.
