Celebration of a life well-lived
Michael Joseph Feehan, age 73, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Michael was born on Tuesday, January 17, 1950, in Fostoria, Ohio to Bernard and Patricia Feehan.
Michael is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan Feehan and their three sons, Michael Feehan II and wife Rachel, Chris Feehan and wife Tracy, and Andrew Feehan and wife Stephanie; eight beautiful grandchildren, Michael III, Marcus, Mariah, Brayden, Elliott, Owen, Cormac, and Padraig; his father Bernard Feehan and four of his siblings, Patrick Feehan, Janet Deaton, Mary Jo Simmons, Debbie Myers, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Lang Feehan, sisters Barbara Untalan, Kathleen Feehan, Ann Feehan and brother, Danny Feehan.
Michael was a 1968 graduate of St. Wendelin High School Fostoria, Ohio. He worked upper management in the logistics industry for forty + years, all for the same company, first in Fostoria and then in Pennsylvania.
Michael enjoyed riding his road bike, and participated in many organized rides; Sea Gull Century, Covered Bridges of Lancaster, Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure as well as many others.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife to many places around the world. God used them as a couple to help missionaries in Portugal, Germany, Thailand, Philippines, and Chile; as well as traveling to Ireland on several occasions.
Michael loved playing golf with his many “buddies”, kayaking in the creek behind his house and driving his 1968 Camaro, which he owned since it was his first car. It was also the car he and his wife drove on their honeymoon.
One of Michael’s joys was building things and helping others with maintenance projects. Smart and gifted with many abilities, he was able to do almost anything. He often could be found mowing lawns and doing yard work for those who were unable to do so. Ultimately, Michael loved spending time with his family.
All are welcome to join Michael’s family at his in-person viewing on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 10:00-11:15 with a Celebration Service at his church, Bible Baptist Church in Shiremanstown, PA at 11:30 with Pastor Bryan Sanders officiating.
