Michael Feliksiak, 77, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at his residence.
Visitation is from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at DeRoo Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline. Private family entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline.
He was the son of Matthew and Maude, brother to Thomas "Tom" and Patrick "Pat" Feliksiak, uncle and godfather to Andy Feliksiak, nieces and nephews, Tracy, Jaime, Amy, Bill, Jill, Jenny, Andrea, and Emily; and several great nieces and nephews, and one great, great nephew and niece. He is survived by his brother Pat (Linda) Feliksiak.
Mike loved clocks and watches! He enjoyed camping and became an eagle scout with his brothers. He loved Elvis! He loved doing puzzles and watching movies or TV. He enjoyed going to concerts.
He proudly worked 50+ years for the ARC of the quad cities in many different capacities. He continued to go 3 days a week in the retired but proud program.
Mike was loved by so many over the years. He touched the hearts of many with his own unique behaviors. In his later years he lived in a handicap ARC facility where he received the best care and compassion! Many of his caregivers were like family to him, and they to him!
Please offer your condolences and expressions of sympathy to the family.

Mike could be a stubborn grumpy old man a lot of the time but I could always make him smile even when he did not want too. Although I was only one of the many caregivers given the opportunity to work with and spend time with him, I loved him like a father figure and he is going to be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He was not just my job, he was family. Spread them wings and fly high old man. Until we meet again know that you were and still are loved by myself and many others. Love Always, DEANNA
