So many stories I could tell. All revolved around such a great man. He inspired and brought life into the comics we read and loved. You are missed.

I was a customer for 48 years. Spent some of the best times of my life at your store, Mike. I will never forget you, Dan Smeddy, Dan McIntyre, and all the rest, including, of course, the one and only Beth. It all ended way too quickly.

Mike, just stopping by to hope you are resting in peace. Many years ago, when you opened your first store on 20th Street, directly across my Comic Book shop - 'Collector's Corner' I thought of you as competition.
After I left, you moved into my store then eventually over to Sansom street.
I would, occasionally, stop by and we got to be good friends because of our mutual love of comics.
When I heard of the impending closure, I was more than happy to contribute to your fundraiser which kept the store 'alive' for another year or two.
I was saddened to hear of your eventual need to close the store and even Moreso after hearing of your untimely passing.
Again, rest in peace, my friend. You were truly a superhero as much as the characters we loved in the comics.

I was a frequent customer at Fat Jack's and Mike was always pleasant and made you feel very welcome. I believe the shop reflected his warm spirit and was always available to help you or answer any question you may have. I spent a lot of time there and got to know Mike. He will be missed by the Comic Book community. He was truly a unique individual and really care for his customers and the hobby. Farewell Mike and have a great journey into the spiritual world.

So sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I've known him since I was a teenager. I worked at the warehouse with George, in the Center City store sorting the weekly books for the other stores & at the Oaklyn store for many years. He was a great guy and will be missed.
