Michael R. Fiumara

Michael "Mike" Fiumara, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and resident of Halifax, passed away peacefully with family on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Boston, MA, on August 2, 1950, son of the late John and Beatrice Fiumara. Mike grew up in Randolph, MA, graduating from Randolph High School in 1969. In 1978 married Kathleen "Kathy" (Dmitruk) Fiumara. He has made his home in Halifax for the past nine years, residing with his daughter and her family, leaving an unforgettable mark on all who knew him.
Mike worked for many years as a material cutter for bullet-proof vests at a factory in Brockton. He later pursued continuing education to become a computer operator, where he went on to work overnight payroll at Daka International in Danvers for many years.
Mike loved to fish and spend time on the local lakes, forever repairing his fishing boat he endearingly named Papa's Arc. When he wasn't on a pond, you could find him trolling the streets for metal to scrap! He also had a love for vegetable gardening, known for his homemade greenhouses and massive vegetable gardens he planted for many years. His zest for life and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mike's greatest joys came from his family, kids and grandkids, fishing, camping, scrapping. He was an avid Boston sports fan; you could always find him watching the Red Sox and Patriots. His laughter echoed through the room and brought more laughs, he made so many funny memories for everyone!
Mike was preceded in death by his wife and later best friend Kathleen "Kathy" (Dmitruk) Fiumara. He was the loving father of Dawn Sharpe and her husband Jason of Quincy, Colleen Fiumara and Nick Spiro of Halifax, Michael Fiumara and his wife Courtney of Westbrook, Maine, and Ann Crocker of Randolph. He was the proud papa of nine grandchildren: Katlin, Katie, Tia, Matthew, Bella, Giovanni and Bryson Fiumara, and Evan and Lucas Spiro and two great granddaughters Nayeli and Naomi. Mike is also survived by his older brother John, and younger brothers Raymond and Tony along with many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home 2 Maquan St, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson on Friday, Aug 1st from 4-7 PM. A service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
