Michael A. Foltin

Michael A. Foltin, 72 of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (August 20, 2025) at his home with his family at his side.

Mike was born on January 15, 1953, in Streator to Clarence and Georgia (Hodgson) Foltin. He married Jeanene Durgach on June 2, 1973. She survives.
Also surviving are daughter Lara (Todd) Armstrong and son Michael (Kristi) Foltin, grandsons Sean Armstrong and Grant Foltin all of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Michelle Ritko and Melanie in infancy and brother Max Foltin.
Mike attended Woodland School and graduated in 1971. He drove truck for US Foods and Walmart Distribution. After retiring he worked for the State of Illinois driving a snowplow (calling them snowbirds) and later worked for the Otter Creek Twp. Helping Marty Bedecker. Mike was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Sandyford Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed fishing, riding his kubota with his dog Joesy, helping others whenever they needed help. He loved going to Byron drag races, sometimes watching the Red Mustang race! He loved talking to his friends on the phone (John, Lance, Rick, Jake, Arnie, Jim and Gary) who always brought a smile to his face and laughter that was truly needed. Farming with Gary was his hobby when he was not working. His dream was building his Camaro from scratch, and his passion was work and driving a Semi. He always said "My family comes first". He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
