Michael Ralph Fonde

Michael R. Fonde, age 77, entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newtown, PA, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ he had been a lifelong area resident. Michael retired in 2007 as a Storekeeper for the State of New Jersey Department of Health after 36 years of dedicated employment. Being a devout Catholic, he attended Mass regularly. He served as a Specialist 4 in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama, functioning as an Entertainment Specialist for his fellow troops. Back at home, he ran talent shows and was a puppeteer performing for local Trenton residents. You could always "Count" on Michael playing Dracula for Halloween events. Michael was a whiz at oldies music and could quickly recite the year and artist of the recording. He enjoyed gambling, especially blackjack, bingo, and playing Royal Rummy during family gatherings.
Son of the late Michael and Flora (nee Volpe) Fonde, brother of the late Margaret Fonde, cousin of the late Marie Pastor, Michael is survived by his first cousins, Emily Herrera, Joseph DiBiase (Lucille), Linda Walsh (Carl), Loreen Volpe (William), Robert Avolio (Donna), and Anita Pinkas (Stephen).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 626 So. Olden Ave., Trenton, NJ. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Burial will follow Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton, NJ.
