Steven DeWitt Voorhees, a resident of Princeton, died peacefully on August 10, 2025, at Princeton Medical Center at the age of 92.

Son of the late Foster Mahlon Voorhees and the late Madeline Godown Voorhees, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Slane Voorhees; his son, Steven Voorhees, Jr., of Princeton; his daughter, Sarah Voorhees Siripoke; and three beloved grandchildren, James Voorhees Siripoke; Grant Steven Siripoke, and Grace Saivaree Siripoke, all of San Jose, California.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was retired for many years from his position as Chief of Police of the Mercer County Park Commission.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Broad Street, Trenton, New Jersey, on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 10:00AM. Visiting hours will be at the Church from 8:30AM to 10:00AM. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Trenton, New Jersey.
