Michael Paul Fromwiller, 81, a lifetime resident of Lapeer passed away on September 7, 2024, in the comforts of his home, with family by his side. Mike was born in Lapeer on December 1, 1942. He graduated from Lapeer H.S. and followed that with enlisting in the United States Army, where he loyally served his country while being stationed in France. He was employed by Pontiac Motors as an automotive painter and eventually retired. Mike was an avid golfer and was on many leagues throughout the years. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and his years spent as an elementary level baseball and football coach. Mike had a deep love for his late wife, his family, and he enjoyed his time spent with all of them. He will be deeply missed.
Mike is survived by his children Mike (Jamie) Fromwiller, Kristine (Wayne) Wilding, and Trisha (Scott) Boyd; grandchildren Cody, Michael (Kelsie), Samantha, Kyle (Kelly), Rachel (Josh), Andrew (Chie), Renee, and Jason; nine great-grandchildren; brother Steve (Carol) Fromwiller; sisters Janet Oliver, and Mary Ellen Schultz; in-laws John (Jo) Smith; also many cousins.
Micheal was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia Fromwiller on January 5, 2023; his infant daughter Lisa M. Fromwiller; son Chan Fromwiller; parents Paul and Maxine; grandson Shawn Wilding; Harriet Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, September 11th, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. Pastor Jared Nies will officiate. Mike will be laid to rest at Stiles Cemetery and will receive military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard.
